All residents are encouraged to participate in a range of indoor and outdoor social activities, hobbies and leisure interests, which are provided on a daily basis. Activities are chosen and ideas put forward and arranged into a social care plan by the residents themselves to ensure that they are tailored to meet everyone’s needs and preferences. Activities are provided on both a group and one-to-one basis, with an activity co-ordinator leading the programme. Residents are also provided with information on activities in the local community which they are actively encouraged to get involved in.
Our activities co-ordinator ensures that residents have a choice and opportunity to socialise, keeping their minds active and alert, and feel part of the family that is the staff, residents and management of the home. Our residents settle in quickly and make friends easily because the activities draw them into the family circle.
The Limes offers a varied activities programme with an activities co-ordinator being in-house Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday for 7 hours on each of these days.
