First Officer

Candidate Details

I am writing to express my enthusiasm and apply for the position of First Officer. I am passionate about joining a flight deck team as it offers excellent opportunities for pilots who are committed to providing excellence in aviation, through providing safe and efficient flight operations, and customer satisfaction - attributes that I believe I possess and am eager to transfer to your professional flight deck team. I recently completed my ATPL Ground School with 14 first time passes, following by my CPL/MEIR with Aeros Flight Training, achieving all first time passes. In January 2015, I undertook MCC and JOC training in a B737-800 to develop my jet handling and multi crew skills. Throughout my training, I have showed a continued commitment to self- improvement and the ability to work well under pressure. Since graduating from flight school, I have been flying a Cessna Grand Caravan for a parachuting company in North England. This has been keeping my hand flying skills very current, and has taught me how to operate a turbine-engined aircraft, and to operate with safety and efficiency at the forefront of my mind. I have also had to adhere to strict company SOP’s. I strongly believe that I can transfer these skills to your flight deck. I developed my passion for flying at a young age and have since taken every opportunity to enhance my knowledge and flying skills. Having been an active member of Air Cadets for four years, I was promoted to a Sergeant in the school Combined Cadet Force unit and was awarded my gliding scholarship at the age of 15. Eager to become a part of the aviation community I started work in The Aviator Cafe at Gloucestershire Airport whilst studying, developing excellent customer service skills and task management whilst also achieving all A*-C grades at my GCSE and A-Level exams. I understand that Business/Charter aviation is very customer service orientated. I know that your clients expect only the best service, and I believe that as a first officer working in such an environment, customer service skills are of extremely high importance. A first officer needs to be an ambassador of your business. I believe that I not only posses the flying ability to work for you, but, due to my experience working as an operations and ground handling assistant for a private jet charter company, I also posses the experience and professionalism to provide only the highest quality of discreet customer satisfaction, and to be the ambassador your business needs, to continue developing its reputation as a provider of high quality, and luxury travel. As a passionate pilot with an excellent work ethic and a commitment to succeed through effective teamwork, I believe I could become a valuable member of your flight deck team.
